CAM Marketing Communications Diploma

Distance Learning Study Method

The CAM Diploma in Marketing Communications is aimed at those who specialise in managing marketing communications, advertising, public relations and brand support activities. This course helps you to consolidate existing skills and develop new skills.

This course will lead to a Level 4 qualification (equivalent to Foundation year on a Degree course) accredited by the CAM Foundation.

You will gain the marketing skills you need to maximize on opportunities for your company, achieve an internationally recognised transferable qualification and become and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM).

Course Dates

The CAM Marketing Diploma course runs just over twelve months. This helps students balance the demands of home, work & study and leads to higher pass rates. The courses run from:

- September to the following years November
- January to the following years May

Delivery Method

Our approach is a blended learning package of e-lessons supplemented using tutorials and email feedback by experienced CIM lecturers. Where appropriate assignment briefings are made using  web meetings and conference calls.

The e-lessons and other study resources are available from Intensive Marketing’s Virtual Learning Environment, Moodle.

Moodle

Moodle enables students to access study materials over the Internet. Specific to each unit, a typical  Moodle group includes e-lessons, directed reading materials, additional learning resources, case examples, relevant web links and forums.

Entry Requirements

You must meet one or more of the following criteria:
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Marketing e.g. CIM Certificate in Marketing/CIPR Advanced Certificate
- Any degree or equivalent NVQ level 5 qualification
- Experience in a marketing communications role demonstrated by length and type of experience (this would be discussed at interview)

Course Assessment

This course is continually assessed via 2 assignments and 3 exams.

Course Fees (2011)

For courses starting from September 2011 onwards:
- £400 + VAT per module (except Marketing & Consumer Behaviour £500 + VAT)
- £1595 + VAT for Diploma course (book all 5 modules and save £505)

There are additional costs paid directly to the CIM for Annual membership and assignment submissions. You will also need to purchase CIM recommended text books.
